Encountered in the Design and Construction of the New Facility
The brand-new, state-of-the-art Terminal A is now open. The 1 million square feet facility with 33 gates represents the largest single investment in New Jersey in the Port Authority's history. The terminal boasts 21st century technology. The $2.7 Billion project was delivered as part of a design-build consortium. In addition to 1 million square feet facility, the redevelopment project, included eight bridges, a parking facility, and over 140 acres of airfield paving. The site tour will encompass both landside and airside areas, including secure areas which are not open to the public.
The Dinner Presentation will discuss the challenges encountered in designing and constructing the new facility while maintaining the existing Terminal A operational.
